Tokyo’s adult entertainment giant SOD (Soft On Demand) has officially launched a brand new concept bar in Ikebukuro, bringing cosplay, adult humor, and drinks together under one very playful roof.
After the closure of the famous Akihabara Joshi Shain Sakaba, fans have been waiting to see what SOD would do next. Now, after eight months of silence, the company has returned with SOD CosCos Ikebukuro, a new venue located in one of Tokyo’s biggest anime and cosplay hubs.
The bar held its pre-opening in October 2025 and officially celebrated its grand opening on February 2, 2026.
What is SOD CosCos?

SOD CosCos is a concept bar where guests can enjoy drinks while interacting with staff dressed in elaborate cosplay outfits inspired by anime, games, and pop culture.
Many of the cast members are AV actresses or popular online influencers, giving visitors a chance to meet personalities they may have previously only seen on video or on social media.
The concept focuses on playful conversation, themed drinks, and interactive experiences designed to create a night you’ll probably end up telling your friends about the next day.
In typical SOD fashion, the venue proudly leans into cheeky humor and adult-themed entertainment while maintaining the lively atmosphere of a Japanese concept café.
Interactive “Option Menu”

One of the defining features of SOD CosCos is its optional interaction menu, which allows guests to participate in playful experiences with the cast.
These themed drink and interaction options are designed to recreate the kind of heart-racing moments many people once imagined during their teenage anime or idol fandom days — but now brought to life in a tongue-in-cheek adult setting.
The bar emphasizes fun, humor, and memorable interactions rather than traditional nightlife experiences.
Inside the Bar

The interior features a sleek design built around SOD’s signature red, white, and black color scheme, creating a stylish but slightly mischievous atmosphere.
Guests can expect a modern lounge feel mixed with the playful energy of a cosplay café.

A New Stop for Tokyo’s Adult Otaku Nightlife
Ikebukuro has long been famous for anime shops, cosplay culture, and themed cafés, but SOD CosCos adds something a little different to the neighborhood’s nightlife.
Blending cosplay culture, adult humor, and interactive entertainment, the bar offers a uniquely Tokyo experience that sits somewhere between an otaku café and an adult entertainment venue.
If you’re exploring Tokyo’s more unconventional nightlife, SOD CosCos may quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about new stops.
